CSFloat review

CSFloat documents a low-fee P2P model and several country-dependent payout routes, but sellers must account for withdrawal fees, KYC and Steam protection holds.

Documented strengths

  • The P2P delivery flow and seller fee are described publicly.
  • Bank, debit-card and Polygon USDC payouts are documented for supported countries.
  • The operator and current Terms are identifiable.

Limits and unknowns

  • Payout availability and fees vary by country and sales volume.
  • The Terms permit a transaction fee of up to 5%, while the product page advertises 2%.
  • P2P delivery depends on the seller completing the Steam trade.

Our verdict

CSFloat is the clearest fit in this set for users who specifically want a seller-held P2P marketplace with a low published sale fee. That model avoids depositing every listed item into a marketplace bot, but it also means a completed purchase still depends on the seller accepting and delivering the Steam trade within the allowed time.

The fee headline is not the whole cost. CSFloat advertises a 2% sale fee, while withdrawals use a dynamic fee published as 0.5% to 2.5% depending on sales volume. Currency conversion or a payment provider can also affect the amount that reaches a seller.

How the P2P sale works

The seller keeps the item in their Steam inventory while the listing is active. After a buyer pays, the seller accepts the sale and sends the item directly to the buyer through Steam. CSFloat verifies delivery before releasing the sale proceeds.

This arrangement gives the seller control of the item before a sale, but it creates a delivery step that does not exist on a bot-held marketplace. Buyers should check seller status and the delivery timer rather than assume every listed item is instantly available.

Fees and cashout

The current marketplace page promotes a 2% seller fee. The legal Terms use broader language allowing a transaction fee of up to 5%, which is why our comparison records the advertised figure and the legal ceiling separately.

Sale proceeds can be paid through Stripe-supported bank transfer, debit card or Polygon USDC where available. The exact rail depends on country. CSFloat states that only proceeds earned from item sales can be withdrawn; money deposited to fund purchases cannot simply be cashed back out as marketplace balance.

KYC, regions and account checks

Stripe onboarding collects the details required for an available payout route. CSFloat and its service providers may also conduct risk-based KYC, sanctions screening and source-of-funds checks. A payout method visible to a user in one country may not exist for another.

Do not use a VPN or someone else’s payment identity to bypass eligibility. Confirm the payout route before listing a high-value item if receiving cash, rather than buying another skin, is the objective.

What the score does not prove

Our score reflects the quality of public documentation. It does not prove that an item will sell quickly, that the highest visible listing is achievable, or that a bank or crypto payout will clear on a particular schedule. Liquidity depends on the item, price, float, pattern, stickers and current demand.

Ranked because the current operator, P2P flow, advertised fees, payout rails and KYC framework are documented in first-party sources. Country-level payout availability still requires an account check.

Official guidance tells users to verify the Steam account and delivery details before completing a P2P trade.

This reduces impersonation risk but does not guarantee a transaction outcome.
